The snake is omnipresent in the stories of our origins. It symbolises life in its terrestrial dimension, the incarnation, the descent of the spirit into matter, like the fall of Adam and Eve, who leave the etheric lands of Eden to take form here below. As an Inciting snake, snake of desire, female snake that is more initiating than tempting, it symbolizes the primordial impulse that generates the Manifestation.

This is a collection of paintings set up on pivots, which means they can be looked at from any angle. The viewer can interact directly with the piece and observe it in different ways. Acting like Proust's madeleines, the projective forms of Olivier Kauffer's paintings stimulate our subconscious. This way, we come up with all kinds of interpretations, constantly renewed by the position of the canvas.

Anatomy of human species transmutes our primary energies. As a return to the tribal, trivial testimony, visceral feeling, this collections connects us to the telluric energies which, like lava, flow in our depths.
